Sky Electric of Northern Michigan unique approach electrical work goes beyond excellent customer services and outstanding electrical installations. Since 2001, Sky’s founder and president Bill Shaw has been engaged in humanitarian work in the Philippines. In 2008, he and his wife Debbie founded The Jeepney Magazine, a street paper devoted to providing livable income for poor and homeless individuals.
In 2009, the Shaws established The Jeepney, Inc, a Michigan-based non-profit that exists to support the work of other street papers around the globe and nation. The Jeepney, Inc. is exploring the development of a Michigan street magazine to employ homeless and chronically unemployed residents.
